Yogurt Fruit Dip for 2nd and 5th Grades
Our 2nd and 5th grade levels received a nutrition grant to have a taste test in school. Our FUTP 60 team decided to take charge! They decided what recipe to make and they prepared a lesson on the importance of dairy products to share with each grade level. Then they showed the kids how to make the fruit dip using simple healthy ingredients and everyone had a taste of apples with yogurt fruit dip! I was so proud of my team for taking charge and really organizing the events. The teachers were thankful that they didn't have to do all the planning!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

Adults told our FUTP 60 team that there was grant money to use. Students decided how to use it with a recipe they saw on the FUTP 60 video show! Adults set up the timing with the teachers. Students did the rest!

How did you accomplish your goals?

We accomplished a lot of goals with this Play. First of all, we used a portion of grant money that the teachers needed to use up. Second, our FUTP 60 team finished a Play that they needed to act on. All were winners by learning how easy it is to make a healthy fruit dip at home!
