Student Leadership

We are currently running our flag football program in Springville Middle School. The best part of this program is that it is completely student-led. Our 8th grade leaders meet once each week and collaborate to decide which lesson and Plays they would like to run with the 6th grade students. Our 6th grade students then come down at the end of the school day to learn and play flag football after receiving instructions from our 8th grade leaders. Everyone has so much fun and they are more active because of our young and dedicated coaches! It is something everyone looks forward to every week.

How do you plan to make this Play last during the school year and beyond?

We are starting with the flag football. However, eventually we will switch to another sport the students are interested in learning more about.
