Success with Funds

Our Fuel Up to Play 60  grant allowed us to host a cheese tasting for the 4th and 5th grades. Working with a local creamery, Ellsworth Cooperative, students were able to sample three kinds of cheese - Muenster, Colby, and Dill Jack. Almost ALL students were able to try a new cheese they had never tasted before! My Fuel Up to Play 60 team members spent time beforehand learning about each kind of cheese and wer able to share their new knowledge with their peers. After looking at the results, Colby Cheese was the favorite!

How did students and adults work together as a team?

We spent time learning about each type of cheese, as well as the Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery who provided us with the samples. Then we worked together to create a poster of each to share some of the important information and fun facts!
