Fuel Up to Play 60 Celebrates National School Breakfast Week
Breakfast helps students Fuel Greatness throughout the day, yet 3 out of 4 public school teachers of grades K-8 report that their students regularly come to school hungry. Advocating for breakfast in school, including alternative breakfast options, is an essential element of setting kids up for success.
Parents, students and teachers can access resources to help implement alternative breakfast programs in their schools by visiting the Fuel Up to Play 60 Playbook. In addition, schools and nutrition directors are encouraged to visit Fuel Up to Play 60’s “Funding” page to apply for grants such as the USDA/FUTP 60 nutrition equipment grants to help serve kids healthier meals nationwide.
